The following addons for Joomla are designed and developed by me in co-operation with Aldísi Sigurðardóttir and Kári Magnússon for the City of Reykjavik.

Contact List
The ContactList component is ment to be a nice way to provide added functionality when displaying Contacts. The component has been used to display contact categories as a 'Staff listing' on all the City of Reykjavik grammar-school websites. The administration of the module allows the administrator to select contact categories for publication, as well as controlling which columns from the Contacts component to display on the websites front end. The front-end of the component includes an auto-generated menu created from the contact-category names.
The ContactList component additionally provides two display methods for the contacts list, a list and cards.
If a contacts name is clicked the chosen contacts 'Contact form' is displayed. If the contacts email is clicked the users email program will try to open the mail link attached.
-
The Contactform
The Contactform is a nice form for sending mail to a given email. The form is created with schools in mind and is ment to be a playful solution aimed at younger users. If a 'spam protection' is required, the contactform uses several images, asking the user to match images with words in a drop-down list, rather then using a captcha. The form can, if required, log the senders IP address and send it along with the email.
-
Reykjavik Air Quality
The Air Quality module displays air quality statistics for the City of Reykjavik, Iceland. The module displays the current air quality measurments as well as the average quality of the last 24 hours.
The Air Quality module is designed for use on school websites.

School Menu
The SchoolMenu addon is designed for use on pre- and grammarschool websites. It can however be used on any website where a cafeteria menu display is required. The SchoolMenu consists of a component and module. The component displays the current week, month, year or schoolyear, all depending on what the user chooses from the menu at the top of the component. The module displays todays menu.
Administrating the SchoolMenu can be done from either the site administration or from the front-end.

User Creator
The User Creator is a module for user and contact registration through the site frontend. The module can be set to auto-generate passwords according to a given password scheme. The site administrator can set the generated password length, as well as play around with colors and CSS styles in the Module Manager.
This module works best with modern browsers (i.e. not I.E).
Note that this is a package. Included in the package is a color-picker plugin that needs to be activated before use.
-
RVK Fontsizer
The RVK Fontsizer is built around a small JavaScript that resizes the article text on your website. It will not resize headings and therefor will minimize the 'breakage' of your sites CSS. The module comes with four different display forms, adjustable in the Module Manager.
-
The Clock
The Clock (RVK Clock) is a nice analog clock that I created for use on information monitors and websites. This is a HTML5 addon and therefor it will work best in modern browsers. The Clock comes with several pre-configured templates and can be adjusted for size.
-
Front Page RSS
The Front Page RSS module picks up all front page articles from a given Joomla website and displays as a nice RSS scroller. The colortheme of the scroller can be changed in the module administration.
-
JCal RSS
The JCal RSS module picks up all front page articles from a given Joomla website's JCal Pro calendar and displays as a nice RSS scroller. The colortheme of the scroller can be changed in the module administration.
-
The Date Module
Icelanders have always had quite specific linguistic requirements when it comes to publishing dates. The Date Module is a nice way to control how todays date is published on your site.
-
The module accordion
The module accordion is a simple accordion module to create module positions for any module. When I started working on this module I had several sites that had multiple addons, taking up a lot of space on either side of the content. This module allowes us to 'hide' the side addons in a nice 'accordion', providing a simple and pretty way to save space.
